M. de Mussy

A young man making his way in the diplomatic corp as an embassy attaché. He was Renée's third lover and she was bored of him by the time the story begins. He was an ex school friend of Maxime's and he tried to enlist his help in winning Renée back, to no avail. He was sent to the embassy in London and from there to Italy.
